Early Lessons, is a poignant tale of a bride to be, about to repeat the mistakes of her parents, driven by the learned behaviours from inherited trauma. A Screenshot of Now, is a revelatory song cycle for guitar, three solo voices and narrator, created by composer/virtuoso guitarist Giacomo Susani and poet/lyricist Chinwe D. John. The duo met in 2024, after John discovered the evocative music of Susani, whilst searching for a composer to set music to the inspired lyrics she had written. Bringing the songs to life, are three of the most acclaimed classical vocalists of our time: countertenors Tim Mead and Alexander Chance, and tenor Daniel Norman. The resulting stellar recording released by Linn Records, has touched the hearts and minds of both listeners and critics.
